The other day I went to Batangas province to visit my cousins and relatives to have a picnic there. And here I heard the words Batangueño that we rarely hear in the city. My cousins dragged me to the plaza to watch a show, when we arrived at the plaza, there were quite a few people. Many children were happily playing and I saw in the distance many men. The next day, we went to the river to soak and cool off, some of us happily jumped off the high part of the rock. When we were going home,we traveled along the narrow road to our house. After we got home, we passed a house with the gate open. There I heard a loud whistle from a man as if calling a dog. At night, while my cousins and I were sitting on the grass laughing happily, we caught sight of a flame, a large bonfire that served as our light. Later, our grandmother came to us and reminded us to be careful where we were standing because we might not realize that a cobra had suddenly emerged from the grass. We realized that maybe what our grandmother said was true and we might still get bitten, so we decided to go home to eat dinner.
